Ghella has been selected among the best large companies included in the 2023 Sustainability Leaders list by Il Sole 24 Ore-Statista, created by financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore in collaboration with Statista, a leading market research and business data analysis company. This recognition rewards the efforts of the most committed Italian companies in the ecological, ethical, social, and governance transition and is testimony of the success of Ghella’s journey towards improved performance, in line with our ESG Strategy.
The Il Sole 24 Ore-Statista list is based on the analysis of sustainability reports and financial statements published by numerous Italian companies and follows a holistic approach to corporate sustainability that considers both ESG (environmental, social and governance) and economic performance indicators. The 2023 edition introduces a new requirement: the reports must follow the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, the main reference for Sustainability Reports, to improve data comparability.
The first 200 large companies and 40 medium-small companies that have achieved the highest final score, based on over 40 quantitative and qualitative performance indicators (KPIs), have been included in the Sustainability Leaders 2023 list and awarded the title of “Sustainability Leader 2023”.
Nearly two thousand companies were analyzed by Statista, drawn from databases of excellent companies, and two hundred of them were self-nominated. All companies underwent an independent analysis. "There is no doubt that sustainability is increasingly an inspiring topic of interest, also in Italy," comments Lisa Dei, analyst at Statista.
