Our Canadian projects have achieved rankings among the Top 100 largest public sector infrastructure projects

The Top100 Projects annual report by ReNew Canada, the voice of public sector infrastructure in the country, has been released. It features the 100 largest public sector infrastructure projects currently under development in Canada. Both of our Canadian projects have secured positions in the rankings: the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension is ranked 17th, and the Broadway Subway Project is ranked 29th.

These top projects are ranked based on their confirmed project cost (capital or total contracts) and must be in active procurement, assessment, design, and/or construction. Furthermore, the projects must have funding support before being included in the report.

Eglinton Crosstown West Extension

The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension is an approximately 9.2-kilometre extension of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT (future Line 5), from Mount Dennis to Renforth Drive. Metrolinx is actively collaborating with the GTAA and municipal partners on the proposed alignment from Renforth Drive to the airport. Tunnelling is one of the first phases of work for the project.

The project is being delivered in four separate contracts: Advance Tunnelling DBF; Second Advance Tunnelling DBF; Elevated Guideway DB; and Stations and Remaining Work.
