World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Today, April 28th, is World Day for Safety and Health at Work, a day dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of creating safe and healthy working environments for employees worldwide.

Here in Ghella, safety and health are a top priority every day. We want everyone to go home safely at the end of each day. As we continue to build some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Italy, Norway, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, we remain committed to maintaining a culture of safety and accountability. Our safety policies and procedures are designed to minimize risk, prevent incidents, and ensure a safe working environment for all.

We understand that our teams’ health and wellbeing are critical to the success of our projects. We provide regular trainingresources, and support to help our workers maintain their physical and mental health. For instance, in Watercare’s Central Interceptor Project we provide access to health programs like Benestar which helps with general health and well-being and Mates in Construction which assists with mental health.

On this World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we want to thank our dedicated teams for their commitment to safety and encourage everyone to stay vigilant and prioritize safety every day. Remember, safety starts with you!
